LOOK: SEC fans react to Hugh Freeze being hired by Liberty
On Friday morning, news broke that Liberty was hiring former Ole Miss coach Hugh Freeze to run its program.
Freeze had been in the mix for open offensive coordinator positions at Tennessee, Auburn and Alabama, but perhaps the allure of being a head coach again drew him to Liberty.
Regardless, he’s going to Liberty and won’t be on SEC sidelines this fall, so SEC fans reacted to that news in a variety of ways.
Below, you can see some of the early reactions to Friday morning’s somewhat surprising (but not entirely unexpected) news:

It's all but official that Hugh Freeze is going to be the new football coach at Liberty University. Setting the past scandal aside, Liberty just hired a football coach who was wanted as an offensive coordinator by Tennessee, Alabama, Auburn, and Florida State… Let that sink in.

Freeze is back after a long hiatus, so we’ll see how he does in his new role starting next fall.
