The SEC had another fantastic year of basketball, and the depth of the conference continues to improve.

On Sunday, the NCAA Tournament selection committee announced seven SEC squads had made the field of 68 teams for this year’s March Madness bracket.

Below, you can see each team’s seeding, first-round opponent and region:

  • Tennessee — No. 2 seed, South — vs. Colgate
  • Kentucky — No. 2 seed, Midwest — vs. Abilene Christian
  • LSU — No. 3 seed, East — vs. Yale
  • Mississippi State — No. 5 seed, East — vs. Liberty
  • Auburn — No. 5 seed, Midwest — vs. New Mexico State
  • Ole Miss — No. 8 seed, South — vs. Oklahoma
  • Florida — No. 10 seed, West — vs. Nevada

Alabama was on the bubble, but didn’t quite do enough in the SEC Tournament to earn a berth in the field of 68.

Games start on Thursday, so we’ll see how many SEC squads are able to advance to the second weekend of the tournament and beyond.
