This could get awkward pretty fast.

Despite Southern Cal already having a sitting head coach in Clay Helton, former Trojan star Reggie Bush recently came out publicly and issued support for Urban Meyer to take over that position if the team struggles next season. While that may not be that big of a revelation, Helton is already on one of the hottest seats in all of college football, how is Bush’s employer going to feel about him recruiting one of his co-workers to leave the company?

If you were unaware, FOX has announced a new college football show set to debut in the fall. The show will be FOX’s version of College GameDay, featuring Meyer, Bush, Matt Leinart, Brady Quinn and Rob Stone.

So not only is Bush stepping on Helton’s toes with these comments but on FOX’s potentially.

No doubt this talk will heat up in the fall of Southern Cal does struggle on the field but it’s another thing for Bush to come out and say it. Clearly, he’s unimpressed with the Clay Helton era in Los Angeles and is ready for some new blood in Troy.
