It’s not been a great day for Louisville athletics.

First, the Cardinals defensive quality control coach Cortney Braswell was arrested and taken back to Chattanooga. He was charged with Theft of Property for a crime that allegedly occurred during his time as the head coach at Central High in 2016, according to a report by News 12 Now. He was hired by Louisville earlier this year.

Later Thursday, Louisville placed men’s tennis coach Rex Ecarma on paid leave amid an investigation raised by some of the program’s players, according to WDRB’s Eric Crawford. A UL spokesperson told Crawford that Ecarma has been placed leave while the university reviews the “issues raised within the program.”

The tennis coach has notched more than 400 wins in 30 years at Louisville.

These two incidents are just the latest happenings at Louisville. There’s been a long list in recent years.
