The Maryland Terrapins’ high-flying offense from the first two weeks of the season has been slowed a bit by Temple’s defense on Saturday.

However, the Terps did manage to snag 2 first-quarter points thanks to a horribly botched punt from the Owls.

As you can see below, the Temple punter is lined up to kick it away from his own end zone, but the snap comes up short and bounces out the back of the end zone:

Those were the only points the Terps scored in the first quarter and now, midway through the second quarter, they still trail 7-2. For a team that has scored 79 and 63 points in the first two weeks of the season, this constitutes a big-time struggle.

Maybe Temple will gift them more points in the second half?
