It’s been some time since we’ve seen this much mystery regarding a five-star prospect but hats off to Jordan Burch for keeping his recruitment extremely close to the vest during his final season at Hammond School in Columbia, South Carolina.

While he’s been mostly silent leading up to the Early Signing Period, Burch is ready to end his recruitment and did so on national television.

During a live appearance on ESPN, the Hammond School product put an end to all the speculation — he’s headed to South Carolina to play his college football. Jordan Burch is staying home.

At different times during his recruitment, Burch was believed to be favoring Alabama, Georgia, Clemson, LSU and South Carolina and the Columbia native never truly tipped his hand on where he was headed until he made his live announcement on Wednesday.

The 6-foot-5, 275-pound Burch is rated as a five-star prospect, the No. 5 overall prospect in the country and the No. 2 strongside defensive end by 247Sports Composite Rankings and has been selected as a 2020 Under Armour All-American Game participant.
