The Vanderbilt Commodores are now on the board for the 2021 recruiting class, landing player No. 1 on Saturday night.

This player — a defensive tackle — comes to the Commodores from Huntsville High School in Alabama.

As you can see below, Tyler Bence took to Twitter on Saturday night to announce his commitment to coach Derek Mason and the Commodores:

Bence has yet to be rated by any of the major recruiting services, so he doesn’t yet have a star rating. He is the first player in Vanderbilt’s 2021 class, though, and held offers from South Alabama and UAB.
