Big news out of the Pac-12 as USC quarterback JT Daniels has entered his name into the NCAA transfer portal.

The redshirt sophomore signal-caller signed with the Trojans after being ranked as a five-star prospect and the No. 2 pro-style quarterback in the 2018 recruiting cycle. He was rated as a top 20 overall prospect coming out of Mater Dei High School.

During his two seasons at USC, last season he redshirted after appearing in only one game after suffering a season-ending knee injury in the team’s season opener against Fresno State, Daniels has completed just over 60 percent of his passes for 2,887 yards with 15 touchdowns and 11 interceptions.

USC announced the news of Daniels’ decision to transfer with the following statement.

“We have been working with JT and his family, as well as our compliance office, to help him navigate the process of entering his name in the transfer portal. It is his desire to explore all of his options going into the 2020 season. We will continue to support JT in every way possible and help him through his decision, including the option of staying on with our football team. JT is a terrific person, student, player and valued member of our football family.”
