A scary incident took place in Fort Worth this week, and it resulted in a college football quarterback being airlifted to a hospital.

According to The Optimist, Abilene Christian University QB Sema’J Davis was driving his car when another vehicle ran a red light and slammed into him:

Junior quarterback Sema’J Davis suffered ‘serious injuries’ Thursday night after a blue Dodge Charger ran a red light at over 100 mph striking Davis’ and a separate vehicle.

Davis was the sole occupant of his white Cadillac and was airlifted to John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth. The accident occurred just after 11 p.m. Thursday night eastbound on Ambler Ave.

Davis and the driver of the car that ran the light were both care-flighted to the hospital, according to the report.

There’s no word yet on how serious the injuries are.
