The SEC isn’t shy when it comes to opening its checkbook. Coaching salaries are going through the roof these days.

On Wednesday, USA TODAY’s updated coaching salary database was released, and it was no surprise to see 6 SEC coaches in the top 10 nationally.

As you can see below, Nick Saban holds on to the No. 1 spot, making $9,300,000 this year. Ed Orgeron of LSU jumped up to the No. 2:

  • Nick Saban, Alabama: $9,300,000 — No. 1
  • Ed Orgeron, LSU: $8,918,500 — No. 2
  • Jimbo Fisher, Texas A&M: $7,500,000 — No. 5
