A blue-chip 2022 recruit is off the board.

Erriyon Knighton, a 4-star class of 2022 wide receiver on the 247Sports Composite, is leaving amateur athletics to go pro in track it was reported by Track and Field News on Wednesday. He has signed with Adidas and will no longer compete for Hillsborough High in Tampa.

Knighton was drawing Power 5 interest on the gridiron, picking up scholarship offers from Florida, Tennessee, Florida State, Illinois and Iowa State. On the Composite, he was rated the No. 14 wide receiver, No. 15 Florida recruit and No. 120 prospect overall nationally in the 2022 class.
