Good news from Atlanta as Mercedes-Benz Stadium will soon be returning to 100 percent capacity AMB Sports announced on Wednesday.

The home stadium of the Atlanta Falcons and the annual SEC Championship Game is set to return to full capacity on May 15, when the Atlanta United soccer team hosts CF Montréal.

In case you were unaware, Alabama is set to play Miami in the 2021 season opener in the stadium on Saturday, Sept. 4.

In addition to that news, the Falcons are planning to host NFL games this season at full capacity.

“We are excited to bring our fans back to Mercedes-Benz Stadium,” says Steve Cannon, CEO, AMB Sports and Entertainment. “Given the increased opportunity for Georgians to be vaccinated, the abundant health protocols we have in place at the stadium and the interest from our season ticket members, we felt that now is the right time to re-open the stadium in full capacity allowing all our season ticket members a chance to enjoy watching their teams in person. We will continue to follow the necessary precautions to give fans a safe and clean environment.”

This news is just the latest sign that things will be returning to normal for the upcoming football season, something we couldn’t be more pleased to hear.
