It’s going to be a relatively quiet week in the SEC, as only 9 of the league’s 14 schools are in action on Saturday.

Additionally, Week 8 isn’t expected to feature much drama, as the 4 of the 5 games involving SEC teams have point spreads of at least 20.

The best game on the schedule is likely to be LSU at Ole Miss, where the No. 12 Rebels are favored by 9.

On Wednesday, ESPN’s Bill Connelly released his weekly SP+ predictions, which are created using a computer model that he has described as an “opponent- and tempo-adjusted look at the most sustainable and predictive aspects of college football. It is intended to be predictive and forward-facing.”

SP+ believes the Ole Miss-LSU spread is right on the mark, as it has the Rebels winning 37, 28, but it has Tennessee keeping it much closer against No. 4 Alabama than Vegas expects. The Crimson Tide are favored by 25 but SP+ has Nick Saban’s team winning 35-21.

Here’s a look at what the SP+ model predicts for all of the week’s SEC action:

  • Arkansas 49, Arkansas-Pine Bluff 5
  • Ole Miss 37, LSU 28
  • Texas A&M 33, South Carolina 16
  • Alabama 35, Tennessee 21
  • Mississippi State 37, Vanderbilt 15
