The FBS season is more than halfway over for some teams, so we’re starting to get a clear picture of which teams are good and which teams, well … aren’t so good.

That certainly applies to the SEC, as well. In CBS Sports’ latest ranking of all 130 FBS programs, there was quite the gap between the top SEC team and the bottom.

As you can see below, Georgia leads the way in the No. 1 spot, joined by 5 other SEC schools in the top 25. Bringing up the rear was Vanderbilt, all the way down at No. 112:

  • No. 1 — Georgia
  • No. 3 — Alabama
  • No. 11 — Ole Miss
  • No. 16 — Kentucky
  • No. 20 — Texas A&M
  • No. 23 — Auburn
  • No. 32 — Arkansas
  • No. 33 — Florida
  • No. 42 — LSU
  • No. 45 — Tennessee
  • No. 50 — Mississippi State
  • No. 75 — Mizzou
  • No. 76 — South Carolina
  • No. 112 — Vanderbilt

We’ll see how the Week 8 slate of games affects the CBS rankings moving forward.
