BJ Diakite will play Vanderbilt. The Pinson High School (Alabama) ATH recommitted to the Commodores Wednesday.

Diakite chooses Vandy over Austin Peay, Arkansas State, East Carolina, and Georgia Tech.

Diakite had decommited from Vandy but recently decided to reupped with the Commodores and explains why via 247Sports.

“They stayed consistent with me through everything, even when I decommitted,” he said. “When I went on my OV, it was great. It was nothing less. It was always the same energy from the first day, from when I first committed. I know Coach Lea is gonna make a difference. He wants to make a difference, and it shows. I want to be a part of that. I realized that it was the place for me.”

Diakite says also that Vandy head coach Clark Lea convinced him that he can turn the program around.
