Blake Corum injury: Heisman Trophy contender heads to locker room after taking hit vs. Illinois
Blake Corum is one of the top running backs in the country in 2022. In fact, the Michigan star has played so well he is a legitimate Heisman Trophy contender.
But against Illinois on Saturday, he suffered a potentially serious knee injury in the second quarter of a tight game.
As you can see below, he was hit low over by the sideline during a run and immediately grabbed at his left knee, fumbling the ball in the process:

Corum was able to walk off the field, but went straight to the locker room for further evaluation:

Obviously, Michigan fans will be anxiously awaiting updates on Corum’s health. We’ll see what the news is after halftime. Michigan leads Illinois at the break 7-3.
