Andy Katz has released his latest prediction of which 68 teams will find themselves in the NCAA Tournament in March. A total of 7 SEC programs are in the field based on his projections on Tuesday.

Not surprisingly, Katz has Alabama as one of the bracket’s top seeds. He has the Crimson Tide facing 16th-seeded Eastern Washington in the West Region. Missouri is also predicted to be in the West Region, as a 7-seed facing 10-seed New Mexico.

Two SEC teams are picked by Katz in the Midwest Region: Arkansas, slated as a 4-seed, is paired with 13-seed Oral Roberts. Seventh-seed Auburn is matched up against 10th-seeded Charleston. The South Region also has a pair of SEC teams in Katz’s projection: Mississippi State, a 9-seed vs. 8th-seeded Illinois, and 2nd-seeded Tennessee vs. SIU Edwardsville. Finally, in the East Region, Katz has Kentucky as a 10-seed going up against 7th-seeded Rutgers.

Houston (Midwest), defending champion Kansas (South), and Purdue (East) are Katz’s other No. 1 seeds.
