Jim Harbaugh has flirted with a return to the NFL in recent offseasons. This offseason, he has reportedly drawn interest from the Denver Broncos and other teams with head coaching vacancies.

But, per Michigan president Santa Ono, Harbaugh will remain in Ann Arbor as the head coach of the Michigan Wolverines in 2023.

Ono revealed the news on Twitter on Monday afternoon:

Shortly thereafter, Harbaugh released a statement through the Michigan Football Twitter account, saying his heart is with the Wolverines:

Since taking over at Michigan in 2015, Harbaugh has compiled an overall record of 74-25. He has led the Wolverines to back-to-back Big Ten championships and back-to-back College Football Playoff berths.

The Wolverines have lost both CFP games in the semifinals. Can they take the next step under Harbaugh in 2023?
