Ja’kayden Ferguson is early in his recruitment as a Class of 2025 prospect, but he’s already focusing a top group of 5 teams. The wideout from Texas is looking at 2 SEC options.

Oklahoma and Ole Miss are in Ferguson’s top group. He’s also high on Arizona State, Houston and Oregon.

A Fort Bend Marshall standout from Missouri City, Texas, Ferguson is listed as measuring 6-1, 160 pounds. On the 247Sports composite rankings, Ferguson is rated 3-stars, the No. 47 wide receiver, No. 52 Lone Star State recruit and No. 349 prospect overall nationally in the 2024 recruiting class.

Ferguson is a Texas A&M legacy. Robert Ferguson, Ja’kayden’s uncle, played for the Aggies before an NFL career that lasted from 2001-to-2009. Texas A&M hosted Ja’kayden for a visit, but has yet to extend a scholarship offer. In addition to Oklahoma and Ole Miss, Ferguson’s SEC offers include Arkansas and Auburn.

Ole Miss offered Ferguson back in December 2022.

Ferguson visited Oklahoma in March and received his offer from Brent Venables’ staff later that month.
