USA Baseball is gearing up for Honkbalweek Haarlem in the Netherlands starting this weekend, naming its roster on Tuesday.

The 26-man roster is loaded with SEC talent, as 8 players from the conference made the cut, per a release from Team USA.

Ole Miss, Vanderbilt and LSU all put 2 players on the roster, with Florida and Auburn landing 1 player on the team each:

  • Hunter Elliott, LHP, Ole Miss
  • Jacob Gonzalez, IF, Ole Miss
  • Joseph Gonzalez, RHP, Auburn
  • Carter Holton, LHP, Vanderbilt
  • Wyatt Langford, OF/C, Florida
  • Tre’ Morgan, INF, LSU

The team will be coached by Ole Miss’s Mike Bianco, per the release:

The 2022 Collegiate Team is led by Manager Mike Bianco, who capped his 24th season leading Ole Miss by winning its first-ever College World Series title. He is joined on staff by Xan Barksdale, Drew Bianco (LSU), Scott Brown (Vanderbilt), Cliff Godwin (ECU), and Josh Holliday (Oklahoma State).

Here are some details about the schedule for Team USA starting this weekend:

Team USA will travel to the Netherlands on Wednesday and begin Honkbalweek Haarlem on Saturday, July 9. The stars and stripes open against Japan at 8 a.m. ET and follow with games against Italy, Cuba, the Netherlands, and Curacao to complete group play. All games will be streamed online via HonkbalSoftbal.tv.
