Joe Lunardi doesn’t have an offseason. The ESPN college hoops guru is always evaluating men’s basketball teams around the country and tweaking his bracketology projections.

On Tuesday, Lunardi released his latest 2023 NCAA Tournament projections, and 9 SEC teams were mentioned, including 2 just outside the field of 68.

As you can see below, Kentucky leads the way as the No. 1 seed in the South region. Meanwhile, Mizzou and LSU start the season on the wrong side of the bubble in Lunardi’s estimation:

  • Kentucky — No. 1 seed (South)
  • Tennessee — No. 2 seed (East)
  • Arkansas — No. 3 seed (West)
  • Auburn — No. 4 seed (Midwest)
  • Alabama — No. 6 seed (South)
  • Texas A&M — No. 8 seed (Midwest)
  • Florida — No. 10 seed (South)
  • Mizzou — First Four Out
  • LSU — Next Four Out

There are still a few months before the 2022-23 season officially tips off, so these teams can all jockey for better position.

But, one thing is for sure from these rankings — the SEC is going to be a very deep conference for this upcoming campaign.
