All but one of the teams ranked in the Associated Press Top 25 played in Week 11 (talk about a late bye week, huh, Washington). For once this season, don’t expect many significant changes to the next poll.

Six teams lost in Week 11, starting with No. 22 NC State falling to unranked five-loss Wake Forest on Thursday night. The loss will almost certainly lead to the Wolfpack getting bounced from the poll.

The upsets continued Friday with No. 16 Fresno State falling to one of the Group of 5’s true household names, Boise State. A two-loss Fresno State may be removed from the poll in favor of a three-loss Power 5 team that picked up a win on Saturday. We shall see.

On Saturday, the biggest ranked upset involved No. 12 Kentucky falling on the road to division rival Tennessee. The Wildcats will drop, but probably manage to stay ranked since there will be a few open landing spots. Mississippi State and Michigan State each suffered their fourth loss Saturday. Conventional wisdom says a team is not truly one of the 25 best in the country with a 6-4 record. Kentucky’s 7-3 record is more deserving of staying in the poll than either MSU team.
