Everyone is speculating on Chip Kelly's future after UCLA AD Dan Guerrero sets retirement date

Dan Guerrero has been the athletic director at UCLA since 2002, but now he’s 68 years old, and it seems his career is coming to an end.

Per a report from Los Angeles Times reporter Nathan Fenno on Thursday morning, Guerrero is set to retire in the summer of 2020:

UCLA athletic director Dan Guerrero will retire June 30, 2020, per a UC system document.

Per Fenno, the UC Regents have approved Guerrero’s salary through his retirement date:

So, what does this mean for football coach Chip Kelly and men’s basketball coach Mick Cronin? Fans are speculating about their futures with the program on Twitter:

Things are in flux at UCLA now, so it’ll be interesting to see what happens. Kelly’s tenure just got a whole lot less stable though.
