This is incredibly fortunate for us. Now we simply need to direct our focus upon hiring a competent replacement for Clinkscale.
I highly doubt that take, since there is a genuine problem regarding players prioritizing the draft over their team’s success. **Looks at Bowl Game dropouts.**
Our current talent will definitely exceed expectations next season. Do not concern yourself with it.
How difficult is it to not drive under the influence?
^^^ I didn’t even express any criticisms regarding Tennessee fans having an alleged propensity to be impatient, but if they wish to address that claim, I suppose I’ll bite.
Simply examine how long it required Mark Stoops to competently turn our program around, with arguably a better foundation than anything Tennessee currently has to offer incoming coaching staff. Tennessee will need at least ten years of consistency to begin demonstrating any signs of a functioning pulse. In that case, you can leverage negotiations with a superior HC candidate. Tennessee needs a Mark Richt, before they can even consider hiring their Nick Saban.
Oh yeah, definitely. Most of these formerly prestigious universities are primarily indoctrination centers now. Not worth the reverence.
The pass rush is absolutely essential to replicating the consistent successes of previous seasons. We can get away with linebacker depth deficiencies if we have a competent pass rush.
Become accustomed to watching that 34-7 scoreboard for the next five years at least.
Congratulations, young man. Now your talent can be truly wasted with a team that lacks even a name. Hope those millions set your future up nicely though.
Recruiting rankings =/= Interest of programs. You’re arguing two different metrics as if they’re extensively connected beyond facilitating exposure. Good players of any rank will be noticed by someone.
I’m genuinely perplexed at the thought of unironically considering attending Yale in order to primarily play football. Sure, the academic resume cannot be understated, but I’m simply wondering why you would enroll there on a football scholarship when you can obtain much greater exposure in a traditional program in the Power 5.
Clearly the author of this article didn’t practice basic due diligence since Joey Gatewood has been confirmed to be superior to Beau Allen by every notable inside source.
I’ve actually noticed that as well when I collectively analyzed Georgia football games in previous seasons. Despite all of that talent in the receiving room, it’s always been hindered by a mediocre offensive coordinator neglecting the passing offense in favor of playing into the narrative of Georgia being a program for developing RBs. If not that, just outright incompetence.
Sincerely wish he would’ve considered Kentucky. We would definitely not oppose additional depth at linebacker for upcoming seasons.
Same reason why Michigan somehow recruits five-star quarterbacks every other cycle.
I genuinely do not see any discernible issues here. Most of the existing QBs in the contemporary depth chart will be mostly irrelevant or moved on by the time Jackson is ready. I’m intrigued to observe the program Heupel builds after he shreds the current status quo of gutter trash in Tennessee, and restructures the institution around his ideology. He will need a CONSIDERABLE timeframe to cleanse this program’s institutions on a fundamental level, but eventually it will work out if Tennessee fans remain patient.
In all honesty, I wish they would’ve practiced some initiative & established this years ago. I suppose I can’t raise too many objections since there was direct incentives to pass such changes immediately.
