Now that Week 8 is officially in the books, let’s look at the 10 biggest stories you may have missed during the weekend: 

1. It took four overtimes, but Arkansas held on to beat Auburn 54-46. Razorbacks fans couldn’t quite “Stripe Out” their stadium, though.

2. Olympic hurdler Lolo Jones seemed to be impressed with Auburn’s Kerryon Johnson, who had an Olympic-worthy jump against the Razorbacks.

3. Alabama survived a tough October by narrowly beating Tennessee. As a result, the Crimson Tide rose to No. 7 in the AP Top 25 poll.

4. Former Alabama quarterback A.J. McCarron ridiculed old rival Tennessee after the Crimson Tide win.

5. Numerous coaches with SEC ties, including Alabama offensive line coach Mario Cristobal and Kentucky coach Mark Stoops, are being linked to the now-vacant Miami head coaching job. Al Golden was fired following an embarrassing loss to Clemson.

6. Leonard Fournette and Brandon Harris led a high-powered LSU offense to a win against a respectable Western Kentucky team. The Tigers offense continued to click.

7. Drew Lock and Missouri failed yet again to score a touchdown and gave Derek Mason his first SEC win at Vanderbilt. The Tigers offense continued to crash.

8. Dak Prescott and Mississippi State rolled past Kentucky with the All-SEC quarterback accounting for 465 yards of offense.

9. Ole Miss put together a balanced effort in its win over Texas A&M. The Rebels kept control of their destiny in the SEC West.

10. Rebels offensive lineman Christian Morris collapsed on the field at the end of the game’s first half. He was taken to a hospital with a neck injury.
