The SEC routinely produces an incredible amount of first-round NFL talent, and the 2019 NFL Draft will likely show that once again.

With plenty of elite defenders and some intriguing offensive prospects, the SEC should dominate Round 1 again this coming April.

On Thursday, Sports Illustrated’s Albert Breer released his first Big Board of the 2019 draft and had 11 SEC players in his top-20 overall players:

  • No. 2 — Quinnen Williams, DL, Alabama
  • No. 4 — Devin White, LB, LSU
  • No. 7 — Josh Allen, LB/DE, Kentucky
  • No. 8 — Jeffery Simmons, DL, Mississippi State
  • No. 9 — Greedy Williams, DB, LSU
  • No. 10 — Deandre Baker, DB, Georgia
  • No. 14 — Jonah Williams, OL, Alabama
  • No. 15 — Derrick Brown, DL, Auburn
  • No. 16 — Montez Sweat, DL, Mississippi State
  • No. 17 — Raekwon Davis, DL, Alabama
  • No. 19 — Deionte Thompson, DB, Alabama

There’s still time for this to change, obviously, and it’ll be interesting to see which of these talented players can work their way up draft boards.

For now, though, this is a good look at how teams view some of the nation’s top players.
