Perhaps the biggest off-season storyline has been the NCAA transfer portal.

Many former SEC players entered the portal following the season, and they quickly decided on other destinations. Two that come to mind are Jalen Hurts (Oklahoma) and Justin Fields (Ohio State).

As it stands right now, a whopping 35 former SEC players are currently in the transfer portal. It’s worth noting that not all of these players will transfer to other programs; some may wish to return to their current schools.

Arkansas and LSU have the most players currently in the portal with five each.
