Alabama should cruise to an easy victory over Florida in the SEC Championship Game. That is, unless, the Crimson Tide fumbles away too many scoring opportunities.

Fumbles played a large part in Florida’s recent win over an SEC West foe. LSU out-gained the Gators 423 yards to 270, but costly fumbles by RB Derrius Guice and holder Josh Growden resulted in zero points on two trips inside the UF 10-yard line. The Gators, 13.5-point underdogs, stunned the Tigers and left Death Valley with a 16-10 win.

As a 24-point underdog with one of the least potent offenses in the SEC, the Gators will need any kind of equalizer to keep Saturday’s SEC Championship Game a low-scoring affair.

UF, of course, has fumble concerns of its own. QB Austin Appleby lost the ball on two of FSU’s six sacks Saturday night in Tallahassee.
