Alabama is undefeated and No. 1 in most major polls, but the Crimson Tide just can’t get any respect from the S&P+ rankings.

For yet another week, the two-loss Ohio State Buckeyes are in the top spot, with Alabama down at No. 2, just ahead of No. 3 UCF.

From there, the SEC places six teams in the top 30, then has quite a gap between No. 30 Mizzou and No. 50 Ole Miss. As you can see below, the rankings are pretty ugly for some of the conference’s teams:

  • No. 2 — Alabama
  • No. 5 — Georgia
  • No. 7 — Auburn
  • No. 20 — Mississippi State
  • No. 21 — LSU
  • No. 30 — Mizzou
  • No. 50 — Ole Miss
  • No. 61 — Texas A&M
  • No. 63 — South Carolina
  • No. 83 — Florida
  • No. 88 — Kentucky
  • No. 90 — Vanderbilt
  • No. 95 — Arkansas
  • No. 104 — Tennessee

After yet another loss on Saturday night, it’s no surprise to see Tennessee come in at No. 104. The Vols are a mess right now and in the middle of an important coaching search.

At this point, most teams are pretty accurately rated, but this could all be shaken up next week based on how next weekend’s games go.
