The AP Top 25 is still part of the college football conversation. The College Football Playoff selection committee ranks teams on Tuesdays, and media members weigh in on Sundays.

The headlining difference of the CFP rankings and the AP Top 25 started with No. 1. The committee put Ohio State on top. Associated Press voters have ranked 2-time defending national champion Georgia as the top team throughout the 2023 season.

Entering Week 11, UGA is still No. 1 in the AP Top 25. The Bulldogs improved to 9-0 by picking up a home win over a ranked Mizzou team, inching closer to another SEC East title. In the SEC, there are 2 other teams still in the Playoff picture.

Alabama maintained its driver’s seat status in the SEC West, knocking off LSU. UA remains at No. 8 in the newest AP poll.

Ole Miss doesn’t get talked about too much as a CFP team, but the Rebels have their chance to shake things up. Lane Kiffin’s team has lost to Alabama, and no one else, in 2023. The No. 10 Rebels don’t control their destiny in the SEC West, but if they beat Georgia, they’ll be acknowledged as one of the top teams in the country.
