On Saturday’s College GameDay preview show, the GameDay shared their picks of which SEC teams will be making a December trip to Atlanta.

In the SEC East, Florida got 2-of-3 votes over rival Georgia.

Kirk Herbstreit cited Jamie Newman’s decision to opt-out as swinging his pick.

“I really felt Georgia all along, but I think with (Jamie) Newman opting out and JT Daniels stepping in, I’m going with Kyle Trask (at Florida),” Herbstreit said. “I’m going with the Florida Gators over Georgia in the SEC East.”

Lee Corso disagreed (sadly, without dropping a “not so fast, my friend”).

“I disagree. I go Georgia. They got a new quarterback, but they got 16 returning starters,” Corso said.

Desmond Howard sided with Herbstreit and the Gators.

In the SEC West, all three agreed on the pick to win the division.

“I still like Alabama to win the West; so, I’m going with Roll Tide,” Howard said.

“I agree with you, Desmond,” Corso said. “They have Texas A&M and Georgia at home. They’re hungry. Alabama — Roll Tide.”

Herbstreit said he’s high on Auburn but ultimately sided with AU’s Iron Bowl rival.

“Auburn is a forgotten team, but I’m with the boys here. Alabama is still the team to beat in my mind.”
