While the focus of the cancelations caused by the coronavirus pandemic has been on the 2020 SEC Tournament, the 2020 NCAA Tournament and the 2020 SEC baseball season, there were several other championship sports that were also affected.

On Thursday, the Southeastern Conference announced that the schools set to host championship events in 2020 will be pushed to 2021, meaning each of the schools listed below will not miss out on their opportunity to host a championship event.

Here are the events that have been pushed to 2021, in addition to the school that was scheduled to host the championship events in 2020 but will now do so in 2021:

  • SEC Women’s Tennis Championship and SEC Softball Tournament — hosted by Alabama
  • SEC Men’s Tennis Championship — hosted by Arkansas
  • SEC Equestrian Championship — hosted by Georgia
  • SEC Outdoor Track & Field Championships — hosted by Texas A&M

Pushing these events to 2021 causes a chain reaction, pushing 2021 hosts to the 2022 and so on.
