Halfway through the college football season, players are starting to separate themselves and make their cases for All-American honors.

ESPN.com revealed its midseason All-American team, featuring four SEC players.

The only offensive player to make the list was Alabama center Bradley Bozeman. A redshirt senior, Bozeman is in his second season as the Tide’s starting center and is the leading contender for the Rimington Trophy, which is annually awarded to the most outstanding center in college football.

On the defensive side, Georgia linebacker Roquan Smith, Auburn cornerback Carlton Davis and Alabama safety Minkah Fitzpatrick made the cut for the midseason All-American team.

After leading Georgia in tackles last year, Smith continues to produce for the Bulldogs, tallying a team-high 45 tackles in 2017.

Auburn’s defense has been a major reason for the Tigers 5-1 start this year, and Davis plays a crucial part in the success. The junior has seven pass breakups and one interception this season.

Regarded as of the top defensive backs in the country, Fitzpatrick earned First -Team All-American honors in 2016 and will likely make the list again this season. The Tide’s leader on defense, Fitzpatrick has 28 tackles, one interception and four pass breakups this season.

Fitzpatrick’s production has caused people to throw his name around in early defensive player of the year discussions.
