As the old saying goes, when the going gets tough, the tough get going.

On Friday, NFL.com named 10 players they’d want on their team with the game on the line, and four SEC stars made the cut.

The four SEC players named on the list were:

  • Leonard Fournette, RB, LSU (No. 3)
  • Myles Garrett, DE, Texas A&M (No. 4)
  • Zach Cunningham, LB, Vanderbilt (No. 8)
  • Daniel Carlson, K, Auburn (No. 10)

Carlson has been a big reason the Tigers have an outside chance to make the College Football Playoff, and the article notes his clutch abilities:

Teams need a kicker who is able to convert when it counts. Carlson has that ability. His six points were the only offense the Tigers could muster in the last quarter and a half of their win over Vandy last week. Earlier in the season, he carried the team to a win over LSU with his six converted field goals comprising all of Auburn’s scoring. He made kick of 50-plus yards in both of those games, which bookend the Tigers’ current six-game winning streak.

It’s tough to argue with anyone on this list. All four have proven that they can rise to the moment when their team needs them the most.
