Jeff Brohm responds to report claiming he'll be Louisville's next coach
Thursday afternoon, radio host and college basketball analyst Dan Dakich reported in a tweet that Louisville will introduce Jeff Brohm as its next football coach following the season.
But Brohm, who’s in his second year coaching Purdue, adamantly denied the report while meeting with the media a few hours later.
#Purdue head coach @JeffBrohm says any current reports or tweets involving his name and the opening at Louisville are “completely false”. Says “there’s nothing to it” when asked about the @dandakich tweet/report from today.

Brohm has been the frontrunner to replace former Cardinals coach Bobby Petrino well before he was fired Sunday. Brohm played and began his college coaching career at Louisville, and the Boilermakers’ upset of Ohio State this year only increased his stock.
Coaches commonly deny such reports, especially if they occur in the middle of a season, but for now we’ll just have to take Brohm’s word for it.
