Kirk Herbstreit on Monday night rolled out his weekly list of top-performing players from the previous weekend in college football.

While the SEC was shut out of last week’s list, the conference was represented this time around as Mississippi State quarterback Will Rogers and Auburn linebacker Zakoby McClain were slotted at No. 3 and No. 7, respectively.

Rogers had a terrific performance in the Bulldogs’ upset of Kentucky on Saturday. The sophomore was nearly perfect, completing 36 of his 39 passes for 344 yards and finding the end zone once while throwing 0 interceptions in a 31-17 win.

McClain played a key role in Auburn’s 31-20 victory over Ole Miss at Jordan-Hare Stadium to improve to 6-2 and remain alive in the SEC West race with a 3-1 conference mark. The senior, currently 3rd in the SEC in total tackles, amassed 14 tackles and sacked Matt Corral twice.
