Kirk Herbstreit isn’t impressed with Oklahoma’s antics.

Though the Sooners are undefeated, they struggled mightily on Saturday at Kansas and have had several unnecessarily close calls this season so far.

Thus, when the popular ESPN analyst ranked his top 4 teams after Week 8, he didn’t include Oklahoma. As you can see below, Herbstreit has Georgia at No. 1, followed by Ohio State at No. 2, Alabama at No. 3 and Cincinnati at No. 4:

Herbstreit does mention Oklahoma, having them in the No. 6 spot behind No. 5 Michigan.

Of course, there’s still time for the Sooners to work their way into the top 4. But, for now, Georgia is the clear No. 1 team in the nation. There will be some debate about the Buckeyes in the 2 spot, but Alabama and Cincinnati rounding out the top 4 won’t get much argument from folks.

We’ll see how Week 9’s games affect these rankings moving forward.
