As soon as one season comes to an end, sportsbooks are quick to post the odds on who will win the championship next season.

Every offseason there are transfers, injuries and dismissals. The 2019 offseason was no different. Now that Week 0 is just seven days away, the Las Vegas SuperBook has updated its odds for who will win college football’s national championship in 2019.

David Purdum of ESPN Chalk looked over the updated odds and tweeted some of the shifts that stood out most to him:

  • Alabama 3/2 to 5/2
  • Clemson 7/2 to 9/4
  • Ohio State 10/1 to 16/1
  • Georgia 12/1 to 6/1
  • Nebraska 25/1 to 50/1
  • Washington 25/1 to 50/1
  • Florida 25/1 to 50/1
  • Notre Dame 25/1 to 50/1
  • LSU 50/1 to 25/1
  • Wisconsin 50/1 to 200/1

While the Alabama and Clemson shifts are relatively minor (and before you run for your calculators, Clemson’s odds have improved), those are some significant shifts for Florida, LSU and a few non-SEC teams. The Georgia and Ohio State shifts are certainly of interest as well, especially if you’re actually considering wagering on either team.
