Well, this is awkward.

Hawaii head coach Nick Rolovich claims that Oregon State sent out invitations to some of Hawaii’s active players to attend the Oregon State spring game. Rolovich made this allegation on Twitter and posted several photos to back up his claim.

If you are unaware, college football programs are forbidden to contact active players on other teams for the purposes of recruiting. Not even graduate players are allowed to be contacted until they announce their intentions to leave via transfer. If Oregon State did indeed to this, it would be a clear violation of NCAA transfer rules.

If Oregon State was trying to pull a fast one on Hawaii, they didn’t really think this one through very well. The packets allegedly sent to the Warrior players was sent directly to the University of Hawaii.

Rolovich did not provide any names of the players allegedly being targetted and covered that information in the photos below. He added the following caption to his tweet, which included two snarky hashtags:

“My apologies for our players not being able to attend your Spring game. Ours was the same day, bad timing. Quick question, in the 203 years of coaching, none of you realized you couldn’t actively recruit another school’s players? Sent to campus? #leakydam #sloppybeavers”

Here are the four photos the Hawaii coach posted on Friday:
