SEC quarterbacks have been a hot topic this offseason. Alabama’s Jalen Hurts is the reigning SEC Offensive Player of the Year, but some don’t think he’s the best quarterback in his division.

Many are expecting to see Mississippi State QB Nick Fitzgerald take his game to the next level after his first season as Dak Prescott’s successor. Ole Miss’ Shea Patterson showed flashes as the Rebels’ starter after Chad Kelly was lost for the season due to injury. Auburn QB Jarrett Stidham is already getting Heisman buzz after an impressive A-Day spring game. When it comes to passing yards and touchdowns, Arkansas’ Austin Allen had the best season of all SEC quarterbacks in 2016, but he also threw the most interceptions (15).

Greg McElroy, a former SEC quarterback himself, shared his quarterback rankings Thursday afternoon while on “The Paul Finebaum Show.” His rankings are sure to lead to some Twitter debate among SEC football fans.
