The Tampa Bay Buccaneers loaded up on former SEC players during the 2019 NFL Draft, selecting four former SEC stars during the three-day event.

It started in Round 1, when the Bucs used the No. 5 overall pick on ex-LSU LB Devin White to try to shore up their defense. Then, in Round 3, they picked Auburn CB Jamel Dean and also Kentucky S Mike Edwards. To close the event, they used their Round 7 pick on Mizzou DL Terry Beckner Jr.

On Monday evening, the Bucs announced what jersey numbers their new crop of SEC defenders would be wearing this fall:

As you can see, White will wear No. 41 — not the No. 40 he sported in college. Dean will wear No. 35, with Edwards sporting No. 34 and Beckner donning the No. 73 jersey.

That’s a lot of SEC talent on the defense, so we’ll see how many of these guys are able to work their way into the starting lineup this fall.
