Trevor Etienne might not be done playing in The World’s Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party. Georgia is the favorite to land the sought-after Florida transfer running back, according to Pete Nakos of On3.

Etienne broke the hearts of Gator fans when he announced his entry into the transfer portal last week. He has 2 full seasons of remaining eligibility as a rising junior.

In Jacksonville, Etienne has logged 18 carries for 95 rushing yards and 1 touchdown in 2 games against the Bulldogs. Former Clemson standout Travis Etienne Jr., Trevor’s older brother, plays for the NFL’s Jacksonville Jaguars.

Georgia’s 2023 rushing attack was led by seniors Daijun Edwards and Kendall Milton. Edwards posted 818 rushing yards and 11 touchdowns on 158 carries in 11 games, while Milton logged 112 carries for 686 yards and 12 scores over 12 games.

This past season, Etienne was Florida’s leader in rushing touchdowns (8), yards per carry (5.7) and yards per game (68.4) while playing in 11 contests, making 1 start. Etienne had a career game in UF’s win over Tennessee, the highlight of Florida’s 5-7 season. Against the Vols, Etienne rushed 23 times for 172 yards and 1 touchdown and was named the Doak Walker Running Back of the Week.

Etienne picked up Freshman All-SEC honors in 2022 after logging 118 rushes for 719 yards and 6 touchdowns. He cracked triple digits as a freshman with an 8-carry, 100-yard game in the win over South Carolina and a season-high of 129 yards against Florida State.
