Jeff Brohm has finally decided to return to his alma mater after he led Purdue to the Big Ten title game this season.

The Boilermakers coach will leave Purdue and has accepted the job at his alma mater, Louisville, as Chris Low of ESPN reported that Brohm and Louisville are in the process of finalizing a deal. The deal would be for 6 years in the $35 million range. Brohm has been at Purdue the past 6 seasons.

Brohm has been a possible candidate at Louisville in recent years, most recently in 2018 when he turned down an offer from the Cardinals to remain at Purdue.

Brohm is 36-34 in his 6 years at Purdue, and the Boilermakers are coming off back-to-back winning seasons for the first time since 2006-07. Brohm previously coached at Western Kentucky for 3 seasons where he was 30-10.

The UofL opening came after Scott Satterfield left earlier this week to take the Cincinnati job that came open when Luke Fickell left for Wisconsin.
