We are nearly a month out from the 2018 NFL Draft but Mel Kiper continues to churn out one mock draft after another. The ESPN draft analyst is already up to his fourth mock draft of the offseason. Before long, he may start doing them on a daily basis.

In his latest attempt to nail down each of the 32 selections in the first round of the upcoming draft, Kiper has several former SEC standouts being taken. To the benefit of teams that don’t need a franchise quarterback, several elite prospects are being pushed back in the draft — at least, based on this mock draft.

Former SEC players that will go in the first round according to Kiper’s fourth mock draft include:

  • #9 Minkah Fitzpatrick – Alabama
  • #10 Roquan Smith – Georgia
  • #17 Da’Ron Payne – Alabama
  • #19 Rashaan Evans – Alabama
  • #20 Taven Bryan – Florida
  • #27 Hayden Hurst – South Carolina
  • #28 Calvin Ridley – Alabama
