Former Virginia Tech F Kerry Blackshear Jr. should pick a new team any day now, but that’s something we’ve been saying for several days now.

The truth is, Blackshear is taking his time picking a school for the final year of his college eligibility, but many believe the elite graduate transfer will eventually pick an SEC program.

On Monday morning, Rivals recruiting analyst Eric Bossi wrote that he thinks Blackshear will pick between Arkansas, Kentucky and Tennessee:

After developing into a potential NBA level big man at Virginia Tech, Blackshear has been the subject of pretty strong recruiting battle that has had twists and turns and lots of indecisiveness. My belief is that he should be making his decision soon and I would venture to guess that he picks either Arkansas, Kentucky or Tennessee but until he makes a decision we’ll all continue to watch and wait.

Kentucky and Tennessee both made the NCAA Tournament in 2019, while Arkansas did not. However, the Hogs do have a new coach in Eric Musselman who had lots of success with grad transfers at Nevada.

Blackshear averaged 14.9 points, 7.5 rebounds and 2.4 assists per game for the Hokies last season.
