The first edition of the College Football Playoff rankings will be released Tuesday night at 7:00 p.m. ET on ESPN.

However, the newest AP Top 25 and Coaches Poll Top 25 will be released Sunday afternoon like normal, and it’s unlikely to change too much.

Top-ranked Alabama pounded Kentucky 63-3, and there’s not much debate on which team should be No. 1. That belongs to Alabama. The gap between Alabama, Notre Dame, Clemson or Ohio State seems to grow with each week.

ESPN’s Football Power Index updated its top 25 following Saturday’s results, and 6 SEC teams checked in. Alabama (1), Florida (7), Georgia (8) and Texas A&M (10) are all ranked in the top 10, while Auburn (15) and LSU (23) are ranked in the top 25.
