After beating Mississippi State on Saturday, Memphis decided it was time to troll the SEC on Monday.

The Tigers improved to 3-0 with a 31-29 home win over the Bulldogs, meaning they’re now 1-0 against SEC opponents this season. Not only did they remind everybody of that, but they also took a jab at their in-state rivals.

Memphis shared that it has the best SEC record in the state of Tennessee. That’s because neither Tennessee nor Vanderbilt has played a conference game yet this season.

However, Memphis couldn’t say it has the best SEC record of any team in the conference, considering Alabama, Georgia and Kentucky all already own conference wins and sit at 1-0.

This will be the last the SEC sees of Memphis this season, considering it doesn’t play any more games against teams from the conference in 2021. But in 2022, the Tigers open with a road matchup against Mississippi State next Sept. 3, so the Bulldogs will have an opportunity for revenge.

And maybe Mississippi State will remember this tweet when kickoff arrives.
