The World’s Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party may be just a bit smaller this year.

According to a report from News4Jax, the Jacksonville City Council is considering getting rid of some temporary seating at TIAA Bank Field — about 6,000 seats in the north end zone — ahead of the Georgia-Florida game on Oct. 30. It would cost the city almost $800,000, per the report.

The Jacksonville City Council will be voting on the plan on Tuesday, and if it passes, those temporary seats will be turned into “premium seating,” per News4Jax. The new capacity for the game would be 76,000 and the city would have to pay each school $400,000, while the temporary seating would be moved to another part of the stadium.

The Georgia-Florida matchup is always one of the biggest games in the SEC each season. The Bulldogs and Gators have been playing each other since 1915, with Georgia leading the all-time series, 52-44-2.

Even if there will be fewer fans than expected this year, there will be a lot more in attendance than last year, when COVID-19 restrictions limited the number of fans to 19,210. The Gators won, 44-28, to snap the Bulldogs’ 3-game winning streak in the series.

Georgia and Florida will kick off on Oct. 30 at 3:30 p.m. ET on CBS.
