The 2022 NFL Draft will be here before we know it. Now that the 2021 college football season is over, top players are making their decisions on whether to return to school or enter the draft.

On Wednesday, USA TODAY analyst Michael Middlehurst-Schwartz released his updated mock draft, and he included 13 SEC stars.

As you can see below, he has 4 SEC players going in the top-10 picks:

  • No. 3 — Evan Neal, OL, Alabama — Houston Texans
  • No. 4 — Derek Stingley Jr., CB, LSU — New York Jets
  • No. 6 — Charles Cross, OL, Mississippi State — Carolina Panthers
  • No. 9 — Nakobe Dean, LB, Georgia — Denver Broncos
  • No. 11 — Matt Corral, QB, Ole Miss — Washington Football Team
  • No. 16 — Travon Walker, DL, Georgia — Philadelphia Eagles
  • No. 17 — Jordan Davis, DL, Georgia — Los Angeles Chargers
  • No. 21 — Kaiir Elam, DB, Florida — New England Patriots
  • No. 22 — Kenyon Green, OL, Texas A&M — Miami Dolphins
  • No. 25 — Darian Kinnard, OL, Kentucky — Cincinnati Bengals
  • No. 29 — DeMarvin Leal, DL, Texas A&M — Tampa Bay Buccaneers
  • No. 30 — Jameson Williams, WR, Alabama — Kansas City Chiefs
  • No. 32 — Treylon Burks, WR, Arkansas — Green Bay Packers

We’ll see over the coming weeks, during the NFL Combine and various Pro Days, whether any additional SEC standouts can work their way into the Round 1 mix. There’s still plenty of time for guys to improve their stock.
