SEC’s Top Commits Series

Using each player’s 247Sports Composite rating, here’s how the SEC’s top interior lineman commits stack up and where they stand nationally against other standouts at the same position:

1. OLE MISS- Leo Lewis: 6-3, 225, Bookhaven, Mo., Four-Star (1): Ole Miss continues its success on the recruiting trail with a commitment from the No. 1 inside linebacker prospect of the 2015 class. Lewis has great reactive quickness and striking ability. He also has good size and solid instincts.

2. VANDERBILT- Josh Smith: 6-3.5, 218, Murfreesboro, Tenn., Four-Star (7)

3. TENNESSEE- Cecil Cherry: 6-0, 230, Lakeland, Fla., Three-Star (10): After committing to Tennessee in June, Cherry has re-opened his recruitment. The 6-foot linebacker took an official visit to Texas last week and could switch to the Longhorns. His best attribute is his tackling ability, but he is regarded as a small inside linebacker.

4. AUBURN- Montavious Atkinson: 6-1, 200, Fairburn, Ga., Three-Star (14)

5. GEORGIA- Juwan Taylor: 6-2, 200, Hallandale, Fla., Three-Star (23): Taylor committed to Georgia this past June. His best attributes are his lateral movement and tackling ability. However, Taylor lacks in size and needs to add weight before enrolling in Athens.

6. VANDERBILT- Dare Odeyingbo: 6-1, 243, Irving, Texas, Three-Star (25)

7. OLE MISS- Fred Walls: 6-1, 220, Olive Branch, Miss., Three-Star (28)

8. SOUTH CAROLINA- Jalen Henry: 6-0, 219, Foley, Ala., Three-Star (37): Henry committed to South Carolina in June. His best attributes include his striking ability and lateral movement. Henry has room for improvement in several areas, but needs to add size.

9. Texas A&M- Riley Garner: 6-2.5, 220, College Station, Texas, Three-Star (38)
